So the book tells you that their method always works?  It could be true, but not for the reasons they think.  The truth is that for every woman who falls for the “techniques” listed in your pick-up handbook, ten more go home with the guy just because they want sex also.  Possibly the guy they liked better was too shy to talk to them.  Maybe they were looking for an jerk because they wanted to make sure that whomever they went home with wouldn’t try to call them in the morning or even claim to be in love with them.  Maybe they thought he was cute and they knew that having a “technique” was the only way he could get up the confidence to talk to her in the first place.  Some girls wouldn’t want to damage the guy’s fragile ego by calling him on his game.  I mean, women have been playing dumb for centuries and we aren’t about to stop.
